BLP was founded in 2015 as a way of bridging the chasm that each writer traverses on the journey to becoming a published author. As a small, independent press, we are able to offer publishing opportunities to writers who have found it difficult to be heard by mainstream publishers. Our focus is on liminality and seek submissions exploring it through a variety of genres, including, but not limited to:

Meet BLP’s team
Cherie (firstname.lastname@example.org) has been writing since she was a teen, penning anything that came to mind. She has a closet filled with journals holding her thoughts, story ideas, and her dreams. She cut her writing for public consumption teeth on various fan fiction and created a virtual cafe for other authors to show their work. After several years working as an editor for various publishers, Cherie branched out on her own. No matter the location, she noticed one thing – no matter how good an author’s story was, many would never see a publisher’s press. In 2015, she co-founded BLP to offer authors another avenue to publishing, one that embraced authors who pushed the boundaries and explored unconventional themes. Cherie holds a BA in English and Creative Writing and has been working on an MFA in Fiction Writing at Lindenwood University.
Tamara Beach (email@example.com) began her love affair with words at age three, when her mom taught her how to read. She thought she’d pushed Tamara too hard too early, but little did she know that it would lead to not only a love of reading, but many spelling bees, honors English classes, and a career in editing and proofreading. Tamara started her editing journey after receiving a certificate in copy editing from UCSD; she edited books for friends and acquaintances, and her first earnings consisted of an enchilada dinner.
Fast forward four years, and Tamara has worked on many books, articles, websites, business proposals, press releases, marketing materials, and training decks…the list could go on, but it gets boring after a while. Her freelance editing/writing career is keeping her busy, as she also writes blog posts, articles, and short stories. She may even pop out a novel one of these days.
Tamara is thrilled to be editing for Between the Lines, as fiction is and always has been her passion to work on. She loves working with different authors and looks forward to what the future holds!
Polly Tuckett holds an MA in philosophy, is an accomplished performer, and author in her own right. She has taught all-levels of creative writing for individuals and at the university level. She specializes in short story editing and has a collection of short stories releasing in 2018.
